Birdie Hogan, LLC
Birdie Hogan, LLC is named after my great-grandmother. She was a dynamic, hard working, strong willed and an independent thinker. I strive to exhibit those same qualities. I am Britain Hogan a fourth generation farmer.
I grew up watching my father, Doyle Hogan, farm with his father, Roy. They worked side by side even after Doyle bought his own land. There were some great years in the farming industry and other very lean years.
I had farming in my blood but I found that I was more interested in pursuing a career in finance. During college at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina I earned a double major in Finance and Economics. I had a passion for people and personal finance which lead me into a great career as a Certified Financial Planner. I worked as a CFP for nine happy years. I loved my clients but I found the corporate environment to be rather restrictive and not always inline with my values. In a bitter sweet moment I left my life as a financial planner to work with mother nature in something I truly believe is good for the environment, our local community, and my family. I hung up my business suit and heals for jeans and work boots.
Now you will find my father, Doyle, and I working side by side. I think that Birdie and Roy would be very proud.
